Hello!

I’m Will. Currently, I’m an incoming Software Development Engineer at AWS. Both of my MS (‘26) and BS (‘25) degrees were in Computer Science.

Truthfully, I’m a computer science purist. While at university, I spent a lot of my time teaching and working on Algorithms alongside some ML Theory. As I exit academia, my interests have shifted to Distributed Systems and LLM Inference.

Outside of work, I’m a Protestant Christian and spend my days trying to live more like Christ. I enjoy learning about finance, geography, world relations, and computer science. Running and writing wrap up the remainder of my free time.

If you’re curious about projects I’ve worked on (both personal and research), see projects; for my CV, see cv; and for my writings, see writing.

AI Disclaimer: I believe LLMs and their ecosystem allow for unbounded productivity gains. However, I reject the use of LLMs in writing and other forms of human creativity. Just as regimented exercise was a supplement for desk jobs, writing and reading are essential to maintain the brains that make us human.

This page is maintained using Claude Code. All writings (modulo older project summaries which may or may not be generated with AI) are written alone. When applicable, I will be transparent about LLM usage in my projects.

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” - 1 John 4:11
